Eaton Announces Obsoletion of 4245-04 Nylon 12 Air Brake Tubing

“As a result of the current global nylon shortage, Eaton will be obsoleting air brake tubing part number 4245-04 (¼” size) effective June 1^st, 2012.  Eaton is offering the 4247-04 Solstice™ air brake tubing as a replacement.  The Solstice air brake tubing meets all performance requirements of SAE J844 and DOT FMVSS 106.

Conversion to the Solstice air brake tubing will enable us to provide uninterrupted supply during this difficult period of nylon raw material availability.  Solstice was developed using a proprietary material that helps us alleviate supply / delivery issues related to nylon shortages.
